Roger Daltrey curates final Teenage Cancer Trust featuring Noel Gallagher, The Who, The Chemical Brothers, Eddie Vedder and Paul Weller

Roger Daltrey, the legendary frontman of The Who, has announced that 2024 will mark his final year as the curator of the Teenage Cancer Trust concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, concluding an era of extraordinary contributions to the charity over 24 years. Since the inception of the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall concert series, Daltrey has been instrumental in raising over £32 million through these events, directly supporting young people affected by cancer.

The 2024 lineup announced today includes The Who performing with an orchestra, Noel Gallagher with his High Flying Birds, Young Fathers, The Chemical Brothers, a night dedicated to comedy and, to conclude, an exceptional celebration titled Ovation will mark Daltrey’s impressive legacy, with performances from him, Kelly Jones, Robert Plant with Saving Grace, Pete Townshend, Eddie Vedder and Paul Weller. The concerts will run from the 18th to the 24th of March 2024, with tickets going on sale at 9 am on Friday, the 12th of January.

Roger Daltrey’s dedication to the cause has been nothing short of transformative. His efforts have seen the Teenage Cancer Trust grow from five hospital units to 28 specialised units within the NHS, alongside the provision of specialist nurses and youth workers. The charity’s reach has expanded significantly, offering critical care and support for young cancer patients.

Beginning in 2025, the Teenage Cancer Trust will introduce a series of guest curators to continue the legacy of these exceptional concerts. As the charity moves into a new era, the focus remains on supporting young people with cancer through the challenges they face.

The Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer. The charity’s work is increasingly vital, with cancer being the biggest killer of teenagers and young adults in the UK. The funds raised from the Royal Albert Hall concerts are crucial in maintaining the charity’s ability to offer essential services.

Celebrating its 22nd year, the concert series has become a beacon of hope and entertainment, with a history of memorable performances and collaborations by some of the music industry’s most influential artists. The 2024 edition promises to be a fitting tribute to Daltrey’s incredible impact and the ongoing importance of the Teenage Cancer Trust’s mission.
