Shoreditch is welcoming the opening of UBA, on Great Eastern Street, offering a vibrant and indulgent Asian-inspired menu. Launching its doors on Tuesday, 2nd April, UBA is kicking off with an enticing soft opening deal of 25% off food accompanied by a complimentary cocktail from 2nd to 7th April. This new dining establishment aims to transport guests on a culinary expedition through the dynamic streets and fragrant alleyways of Asia’s most lively cities, presenting sharing plates set against a backdrop of opulent interiors and a lively soundtrack.

Behind UBA’s concept is the globally travelled Chef Paul Greening, known for his work with Aqua Restaurant Group and Novikov. Drawing inspiration from his journeys through Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore, Greening’s creations reflect the richness and diversity of South Asian cuisine. Guests can anticipate a variety of flavours, textures, and aromas with dishes that showcase creative flair while remaining true to tradition. Highlights include new-style sushi, fluffy Hirata buns, dim sum and soul-soothing ramen, with signature dishes such as Stuffed Boneless Chicken Wings and Spicy Salmon Tartare.

The restaurant’s design complements the experience, paying tribute to Asian folklore and mythology. The interior features red and gold tones, scarlet velvet banquettes, and lava stone tabletops, with illustrative artwork and tiger statues symbolising strength and grace. A statement marble bar offers counter dining for up to 14 guests, and a private dining room caters to intimate gatherings, with a larger event space set to open in the summer.

UBA, brought to life by the team behind Sucre, Alma, and CLAP London, aims to be more than just a restaurant. It seeks to embody Shoreditch’s eclectic spirit through a fusion of Pan-Asian flavours, creative cocktails, and vibrant atmosphere, the next neighbourhood’s go-to dining foodie spot. Plans are also underway for events and DJ nights.
