Hawkins Diner teams up with Netflix to offer pancake specials for delivery on Pancake Day
Hawkins Diner, a virtual restaurant brand developed by Sessions in collaboration with Netflix, has introduced two new pancake-based dishes to its menu, available exclusively for delivery through Deliveroo. The limited-time offerings coincide with Pancake Day, celebrated this year on Tuesday 13th February, and are aimed at customers seeking convenient alternatives to homemade pancakes.
The two dishes include the Upside Down Stack (priced at £10.49) and the Upside Stack (£5.99). The first is described as a burger with fluffy pancakes in place of traditional buns, sandwiching double grass-fed beef patties, American cheese, ketchup, mustard and dill pickles. The Upside Stack, meanwhile, comprises three pancakes layered with peanut butter, raspberry sauce and a dusting of icing sugar.
Sessions, the company behind Hawkins Diner, specialises in creating and distributing virtual restaurant brands. The company claims to have managed over five million food delivery orders to date and was recently recognised in The Sunday Times 100 Tech list. They explain the Hawkins Diner menu is inspired by Stranger Things – one of Netflix’s most popular shows – and its introduction is intended to extend the story’s presence beyond its recent finale. The partnership is expected to attract both fans and those looking for novel Pancake Day options.
The menu is available for delivery only, with no dine-in option, and can be ordered through the Deliveroo platform in selected areas.
