Signature Brew, the UK’s largest independent brewery, will launch a new culinary partnership with Armenian-inspired food business Sireli, at its Blackhorse Road venue in East London. The initiative aims to bring together fresh beer, music and Armenian cuisine, expanding the brewery’s offering to patrons in the local area.

Sireli, which means “my love” in Armenian, was founded by chefs Oli and Mick, both of whom have longstanding ties within London’s hospitality and street food scene. It began as a residency at Filly Brook in Leytonstone, where it operated for two years before expanding to sites such as the National Theatre and Corner Corner in Canada Water. The new partnership marks its latest move into new territory. Oli, of Armenian descent, recently returned from a culinary tour of the country, where he explored the wine regions, cheese producers and northern mountains. Mick, meanwhile, has contributed to the launch of several local businesses, including Deeney’s in Leyton and Ace Pizza in Hackney.

The menu in Blackhorse Road will feature a range of Armenian-inspired dishes, including Taste of Armenia sharing platters with hot and cold mezze such as muhammara, house pickles, hummus, dolmas and flatbread. Platters are available in vegetarian (halloumi fries and crispy falafel, £22), meat (chicken kabob and lamb kofte, £26) or combination (£32) options.

Flatbreads and wraps form a significant part of the offering, with fillings such as chicken kabob marinated in yoghurt and served with mango hot sauce, lamb kofte with za’atar yoghurt and zhug, fried chicken with Aleppo chilli, and falafel with maple tahini and pomegranate seeds. Halloumi can be added to any wrap for an extra £2.50, and Friday lunchtime deals offer any flatbread with a soft drink for £10. Also available are additional mezze options like halloumi fries, classic hummus, fried chicken, loaded feta fries and standard fries, and there’s a children’s chicken and chips meal for £8.
