Pho to give away prizes – including a trip to Vietnam – for nationwide Lunar New Year celebrations

On 17th February, Vietnamese restaurant group Pho will be holding a nationwide giveaway to mark Lunar New Year, offering every customer a prize when dining at any of its more than 50 locations across the UK. The one-day event, which coincides with Vietnamese New Year, will also extend to those ordering via Deliveroo or using click and collect services. The initiative’s main prize is a trip to Vietnam, including return flights from London and a five-night hotel stay, while other rewards include free bowls of pho, desserts, Vietnamese beers and a VIP card providing 50% off food for a year.

The promotion is open to all customers with no minimum spend required. Every participant will receive a traditional red envelope – a customary symbol of good fortune in Vietnamese culture – containing a guaranteed prize. Vietnamese New Year, known as Tết, is considered the most significant celebration in Vietnam’s calendar, symbolising renewal and good fortune. Pho’s celebration aims to bring this tradition to British diners, with both culinary experiences and prizes associated with Vietnamese culture.

Established by British couple Juliette and Stephen Wall, who were inspired by Vietnamese street food during their travels, Pho opened its first restaurant in London. The group has since expanded to over 50 restaurants nationwide with a menu that features the national dish, pho – a rice noodle soup with lean meats and fresh herbs – alongside sharing starters, salads, curries and a selection of drinks including Vietnamese beers and cocktails.

The restaurant’s team enthused, “For one lucky winner, the celebration doesn’t stop there. One envelope will unlock the ultimate golden prize: a trip to Vietnam, including two return flights from London and five nights in a hotel, offering the opportunity to experience Vietnamese culture, vibrant food scene and historic cities, where Pho’s flavours grew inspiration from.”
