Carousel announces summer line-up of guest chefs and DJ collaborations on Charlotte Street

Carousel, the culinary and cultural fixture on Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, has announced its June programme of guest chef residencies and DJ collaborations, running throughout the month and into early July. The line-up includes the return of its Paired series, alongside residencies from Milan-based chef Yoji Tokuyoshi and Bangkok’s Tam Chudaree Debhakam, reflecting the venue’s continued focus on cross-disciplinary projects combining food, music and cultural exchange.

The restaurant occupies three Georgian townhouses on Charlotte Street and is home to a rotating programme of international guest chef residencies, alongside Cometa, a Mexican-inspired seafood restaurant that opened in February, and No 23, a cocktail bar serving smashburgers from Chuck’s NYC. The venue was founded by brothers Ed and Ollie Templeton, who also co-created the Paired series and run the Ashcombe Estate x Carousel series in partnership with director Guy Ritchie at his Wiltshire property.

The first edition of Paired in 2026 will take place on Saturday 27th June, bringing together chef John Javier (of Master and Caia) with Kai Campos of the electronic duo Mount Kimbie. The series, run in partnership with AVA Festival, matches practitioners from different creative fields to co-create menus and soundtracks. The evening will begin with a multi-course tasting menu developed jointly by the chef and DJ, followed by a set from Campos. Tickets for the full experience are priced at £125 per person, including the set menu and after-party access, with an optional drinks pairing available at additional cost. Guests can also attend the after-party only for £25, which includes bar access and entry to the DJ set.

From Monday 22nd to Friday 26th June, Yoji Tokuyoshi will take over as guest chef. Tokuyoshi opened his eponymous Milan restaurant in 2015, earning a Michelin star the same year, and has since established several further venues including Alter Ego, Katsusanderia, Pan and the Hi-Fi bar and dining concept Mogo, the latter run with his partner Alice Yamada. His Carousel menu will include Chawanmushi with Toasted Katsuobushi, Grilled Corn and Red Prawn Crudo, Katsu Sando with Bone Marrow, Wagyu with Peach and Umeboshi and a Seashell Madeleine with Rhubarb and Yuzu Zabaione for dessert. The residency forms part of Murra, an ongoing programme run in partnership with Cultivar Studio.

Between 30th June and 2nd July, Tam Chudaree Debhakam will host a three-night residency with two sittings each evening, at 6 and 8.30pm. Debhakam was named Asia’s Best Chef by World’s 50 Best and is the first female chef from Thailand to hold two Michelin stars. Her appearance at Carousel coincides with the refurbishment of her Bangkok restaurant Baan Tepa. Dishes will include the delicate King Crab, Nam Jim Seafood, Celtuce, Nasturtium as well as Broken Jasmine Rice, Carabineros, Crispy Prawn, Tom Yum, Palm Heart and Blackened Curry, Anjou Squab Pigeon, Bamboo Rice.

The team says the ethos for the programme is “inspired by the rich and fertile creative terrain where food, music and experience overlap”, explaining that “the idea for Paired is simple: put talented people together from complementary disciplines and watch as the magic unfolds, with co-created menus and soundtracks weaving together shared influences.” Tickets are on sale now.
