The 50 Best Bars reveal 2026 extended list: Scarfes Bar, Three Sheets and Panda & Sons make the 51-100 ranking

Two London bars and one in Scotland have been named in the extended 51-100 ranking of The 50 Best Bars 2026. Panda & Sons in Edinburgh is at No. 72, Three Sheets (Soho) at No. 73 and Scarfes Bar at No. 77. The extended list arrives two weeks before the main top 50 is unveiled at a ceremony in Milan on 7^th October, which will be broadcast live on The 50’s YouTube channel from 7pm BST (8pm in Milan).

This is the tenth year the organisers have published the extended ranking. The 2026 list covers bars in 34 cities, including 13 new entries. Accra, Dublin, Istanbul, San José and Shenzhen appear on the list for the first time. The rankings are based on votes from The 50 Best Bars Academy, a group of more than 800 bartenders, drinks writers, educators and industry specialists. Each voter casts eight votes based on bar visits over the previous 18 months, and the process is independently adjudicated by Deloitte.

Faye Huggett, director of community for the 50 Best Bars, said: “The 51-100 list has become a vital part of The 50 Best Bars programme, allowing the organisers to recognise an even broader range of exceptional venues from around the world while encouraging cocktail lovers to discover new destinations and experiences.”

The USA is the most represented country for the fourth year running, with five bars. New York has three of them: Double Chicken Please (No. 53), Superbueno (No. 61) and Employees Only (No. 78). Jewel of the South in New Orleans (No. 64) and Kumiko in Chicago (No. 70) complete the US entries. Mexico has three bars on the list, including newcomer Form + Matter in Mexico City at No. 59. Otro Bar, at No. 82, is the first bar from Costa Rica’s capital, San José, to be ranked.

Europe has the most bars of any region, with 18. Italy leads with four entries, two of them in Rome. Spain and the UK have three each. Barcelona’s Boadas made one of the largest climbs on the list, rising 33 places to No. 52. Stockholm’s Tjoget takes the top spot of the extended list at No. 51. Bar Gabriel in Istanbul enters at No. 68 and Bar 1661 in Dublin at No. 98, both debuts for their cities.

Asia has 16 bars, including five new entries. Hong Kong has four bars, more than any other Asian city, while Tokyo and Bangkok have three each. MO Bar Shenzhen, at No. 60, is the first bar from Shenzhen to be ranked. In West Africa, Front/Back (No. 80) and La Borracha (No. 87) in Accra are the first bars from the region to appear on the extended list. Melbourne returns to the ranking with the recently opened Three Horses at No. 84.
