My Flash Trash: your new favourite jewellery stop

My Flash Trash: your new favourite jewellery stop

My Flash Trash was founded in 2008 as a place to showcase new and upcoming jewellery brands. My Flash Trash may sound familiar if you’re a fan of Made In Chelsea.  Amber Atherton, the founder, appeared on the programme, which she used as a launch pad to promote the site. IMG_6473

Previous to this, Amber studied fashion management at London College of Fashion and then went on to work at Vogue, Hermes and The Saturday Group, all while developing My Flash Trash. Clearly destined to work within the fashion industry, Amber settled on jewellery. “Flash Trash jewellery has a tongue in chic edge; it’s whimsical, fun and romantic,” Amber told us. This is all very visible in the mix of brands and designers that are stocked on the site. IMG_6480

Since its launch, it has featured in many fashion magazines and editorials. It has been very successful, stocking from and shipping jewellery all over the world. My Flash Trash was nominated for jewellery e-tailer of the year 2001 at the UK Jewellery Awards. IMG_6479

Amber told us: “All our jewellery is meant to be worn to start conversations.” Each piece makes a statement, and the jewellery gives a sense of personality without actually having to say anything. “Each design is intriguing whether it’s for a man or woman.”

We picked a few of our favourite designers and pieces stocked on My Flash Trash for you to lust over. IMG_6487

My Flash Trash stock Assya – jewellery by Italian-born designer Tessa. Tessa finds her inspiration in the places she has travelled to. The pieces from the Assya collection are subtle, simple but still sophisticated. IMG_6499

Katie Mullally’s designs all have a very “English” feel to them. All hallmarked sterling silver, her jewellery combines vintage pieces with bespoke design, focusing on charms that are quirky and eclectic. IMG_6500

BLINGDEENIE’s jewellery is fun and for the girl that doesn’t take herself seriously. The collection is quirky but dainty, and gorgeous at the same time.

Flash Trash recently launched Flash Trash Girl. This collection is one of our favourites. The shapes, the bubblegum colours and the charms!  Full of midi rings, neon spikes, crosses and stars, this is a collection worth watching.

My Flash Trash is the one-stop place for all the jewellery you need, and they will ship worldwide. Well worth a look!
