Fashion in Motion: Jenny Packham − celebrating 25 years of stunning gowns
This year has been host to many wonderful fashion and art-related events, and we’ve another to introduce to you: Fashion in Motion: Jenny Packham. The bridal and evening wear brand is celebrating its 25th birthday this year and, to celebrate, the Victoria and Albert museum (aka the V&A) is presenting highlights of Packham’s elegant collections in a series of four free catwalk shows. Yes, you heard us − free.
Held in its Raphael Gallery on 19th July, the V&A will introduce to all who manage to get their hands on a ticket stunning creations that have been worn by clients such as Taylor Swift, Sandra Bullock and Eva Longoria.
As a favourite amongst celebrities and fashion-lovers alike, Jenny Packham is known for its super-feminine gowns, and we have seen a fair few of the designer’s creations on our favourite Duchess, Catherine Middleton. Often seen looking ever-graceful and beautiful in the Brit designer’s gowns, the Duchess of Cambridge has made many a headline in tabloids.
Of the showcase, Jenny Packham said: “Our 25th year provides the perfect timing to take part in Fashion in Motion, which will present looks from past collections and include some of our most iconic pieces. It’s a pleasure to be able to present these within the inspiring space of the V&A’s Raphael Gallery.”
Fashion in Motion is a series of live fashion events, featuring some of the greatest designers of our time. This truly is a high-fashion spectacle for a wide audience.
