Models and Mothers: An evening in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Models and Mothers: An evening in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer

On Monday night, in The Gilbert Scott Bar, which is run by Marcus Wareing’s team at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, guests gathered to celebrate the Models and Mothers exhibition by photographer and model Morwenna Lytton Cobbold. The exhibition is showing throughout October at The Gilbert Scott Bar and Restaurant in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Guests included Portia Freeman, Marcus Wareing, Claire Selby, Nick Saunders, Olivia Grant and her boyfriend Diego Bivero-Volpe, model and founder of My Flash Trash Amber Atherton, Olivia Inge, Olivia Dunin, Lilah Parsons, Tafari Hinds and Morwenna Lytton Cobbold and her parents. A number of the models attended with their mothers, who were out in support of the exhibition and cause.

The evening featured a charity auction, with prizes donated from The Gilbert Scott Bar and Restaurant, the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, Scott’s Bar, Helena Christensen for Kipling and Knebworth House amongst others, with copies of the exhibition book Mother also on sale. Over £5,000 was raised for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Guests sipped on pink Piper-Heidsieck champagne and The Gilbert Scott Meadow Sweet Cocktail, as well as nibbling on delicious canapés including Dorset Crab, Spiced Pear & Cobnut Tartlets, Roasted Pumpkin & Sage Tartlets, Mini Oxtail Burgers and Mini Falafels with Mint Yoghurt. Morwenna wore a pair of stunning Emily H London earrings and an Emily H London ring from their Emilia Collection, to accompany her monochrome Sandro dress.

If you would like to get a print of one of the pieces from the exhibit, head down to Gilbert Scott throughout October. The prints are on sale in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The book to accompany the exhibition, Mother, will also be on sale at The Gilbert Scott, with proceeds also going to the charity. If you fancy sampling Mrs Beeton’s Snow Egg dessert from the Gilbert Scott lunch and dinner menu, then a percentage of every sale goes to the charity.
