Five summer essentials

Five summer essentials

Winter is still with us… and no one is happy with it. Snow, arctic cold wind and lots of rain, that’s how it looks like for us lately all around the UK. However, we’re bringing some warm spirit today with our five summer essentials, so you can get ready for the sunny weather in advance or maybe start arranging them for your next vacation to the Caribbean. Whatever you feel like planning, we promise you that these five tips will make you survive and thrive during the summer season:

Sunscreen

This is an item that is not only essential during the summer but can avoid us ageing faster at any time of the year. The skin is very sensitive and it needs extra protection when it comes to sunlight, so remember carrying a tiny bottle with you to prevent any premature wrinkles around your face! Also if you’re going to the beach this summer (or this winter) it’s recommended to apply it before the actual exposure and repeat the process once every hour.

A pair of stylish sandals

Being in-style is a must any time of the year but having a go-to pair of sandals you can pair with everything you have in your closet is a real essential during summer or even less warm weather. An all-black or all-camel pair is always a good one to have around.

A breeze of fresh air

When the heat finally kicks in, it seems impossible to live without a fan close to you, or an air conditioner for bigger spaces.

Iced-tea (or coffee)

Tea is a big one. You can have it in the morning, afternoon and dinner. Cooling off with some tea seems to be the perfect option to pick up in summer too. All you need to do is add some crushed ice to it or if you’re at home without the needed tools you can just drop a bunch of ice cubes in there. If you’re a fan of herbal tea, opt for cooling herbs such as mint, they will keep you refreshed from the inside out.

A nice hat

Last but not least, there’s the underrated hat. Some people complain because they feel hats heat them up even more, but the truth is, it can represent a real relief as it can protect you from the sun and keep some cool shade around your neck too – depending on how big it is.
