Renowned French traiteur Colette is delighted to announce the launch of their limited-edition dessert, created in partnership with Great British Bake-Off alumna Manon Lagrève. Available for a limited time between 29th April and 20th May, the Morello Cherry and Chocolate Cake will be available to purchase from all three of Colette’s locations, with half of the proceeds donated to Save the Children’s Disaster Emergency Committee providing relief in Ukraine.

A much-loved face on British television screens and across social media, the 2018 GBBO star grew up in France before moving to South London. Until now, her creations were only available to recreate at home using her popular Instagram recipes. Now, for the very first time, diners can enjoy Lagrève’s patisserie at Colette, to eat in with a glass of wine or coffee, or to take home.

Situated in Wimbledon Village, Fulham, and now Wandsworth, Colette is a family-run traiteur home to some of the very best French cooking and produce in the capital. French native Lagrève says that it was a natural fit for a collaboration: “Colette represent fabulous French cuisine and cooking, with a light British influence – extremely similar to my background! The dessert is everything I love about baking – rich flavours and textures, and who doesn’t love a chocolate cake? It’s a real treat, and what’s more is that we’ll be raising money for charity though every sale.”

Crafted using rich dark chocolate and tart crème fraiche, the Morello Cherry and Chocolate Cake is decorated with velvety Swiss meringue buttercream and sprinkled with a dusting of cacao. Each individual cake is beautifully presented as a nod to the baker’s favourite Parisian patisseries.

Each of Colette’s stores are the perfect spot to browse exceptional produce from across the channel, and afterwards pull up a chair and enjoy a bite to eat. There you’ll find finish-at- home seasonal dishes cooked by executive chef David Jones – previously called the “Ritz of ready meals” – alongside an array of fine wines and spirits, a boucherie counter and a full spread of carefully picked French cheeses and cold cuts.

The limited-edition cake is priced at £6.95 and half of all proceeds will be donated to Save the Children’s Disaster Emergency Committee providing relief to Ukraine.
