Covent Garden pizzeria Doughnation launches Cheesy Nights menu with limited-edition Fondue Melt pizza

Covent Garden pizza restaurant Doughnation has launched Cheesy Nights, a new cheese-focused menu featuring a limited-edition pizza and dedicated set menu, available at the restaurant in central London.

The centrepiece is The Fondue Melt, a new pizza that, as its name suggests, borrows from the classic Alpine dish of melted cheese and wine. It is topped with crème fraîche, white wine, Swiss cheese and fior di latte, the soft Italian cow’s milk cheese often used in place of buffalo mozzarella on Neapolitan-style pizzas. Customers can order it as a standalone dish or as part of the Cheesy Night Set Menu, which has been introduced alongside it.

The set menu costs £50 and includes The Fondue Melt, a second pizza of the diner’s choice and a bottle of wine, with red, white and rosé options available. The format allows diners to try it alongside one of the restaurant’s other pizzas, with wine included in the price.

The launch adds to a growing number of cheese-led menus and dishes appearing at London restaurants, with fondue-inspired flavours proving to be a fixture in the colder months. Cheese-lovers keen to try The Fondue Melt are advised to visit while it’s still on the menu!
