CC cream: the next generation of beauty balms

CC cream: the next generation of beauty balms

BB creams hit the United States and Europe in a big way last summer and have not died down since, with numerous brands emulating their Korean counterparts. But now there’s something even better – CC cream!

Also created and developed in Korea, CC cream or Colour Control cream is the latest all-in-one must-have beauty product to enter the market and although already a huge hit over in Asia, has yet to land in the UK. Like BB (or Beauty/Blemish Balm), CC Cream has all the miracle skincare benefits of its predecessor – anti-aging, moisturising, brightening and so on – but is supposed to be an improved and refined version, complete with a lighter texture, better coverage and a higher sun protection. The formula is said to be non-oily, with added vitamin C for better brightening properties, as well as the ability to repair problem skin better than usual BB creams. They also contain agents to help soothe and calm skin, such as green tea leaf extracts, deep-sea water and natural vitamin E.

Brands like Chanel, Luisdina and iFiona already have CC creams available in Asia, so it’s only a matter of time until we can get our hands on CC creams. Make-up with a ton of skincare benefits – what’s not to love? Here’s hoping they hit our shelves very soon! Which brands are you hoping introduce CC creams to their range in the UK?
