UK cinemas to screen Bob Marley: One Love biopic on Valentine’s Day 2024

On 14 February 2024, UK cinemas will welcome the release of Bob Marley: One Love, a highly anticipated biopic celebrating the life and legacy of the legendary Jamaican musician Bob Marley. The film, which features insights from Marley’s son Ziggy, his daughter Cedella and director Reinaldo Marcus Green among others, aims to provide an authentic portrayal of the reggae icon’s story. Ahead of the release, a new featurette delving into the significance of narrating Marley’s journey has been launched, offering a glimpse into the making of the biopic.

The featurette includes personal reflections from Marley’s family and the creative team behind the movie, highlighting the emotional and cultural impact of Marley’s music and the importance of accurately capturing his spirit on screen. Ziggy, Cedella and Green share their perspectives on the responsibility and challenges involved in bringing the story of their father to life.

The biopic Bob Marley: One Love promises to take audiences on an immersive experience through Marley’s life, from his early days in Trench Town, Kingston, to his rise as a global superstar and his enduring influence on music and social movements. The film is expected to feature some of Marley’s most iconic songs and performances, which continue to resonate with fans around the world.
