Joia Rooftop bar welcomes guests for its second summer at art’otel London

Joia Rooftop, the popular 74-cover bar and terrace located on the 16th floor of art’otel London Battersea Power Station, has officially reopened for its second season. The venue, known for its panoramic views of the capital, promises a summer filled with sunshine, small plates, and sundowner cocktails, curated by chef Henrique Sá Pessoa.

Following its successful debut last year, Joia Rooftop will continue to serve a selection of snacks, tapas, and petiscos, combining traditional Iberian flavours with a modern twist. This year, partnerships with Portuguese tinned fish specialists Minerva and outdoor cooking experts Big Green Egg are set to enhance the rooftop dining experience with special menu items and Bank Holiday barbeques.

Food highlights include Portuguese sandwiches such as a Cuttlefish Bun in a squid ink roll and the traditional Bifana Sandwich, alongside signature tapas dishes like Octopus Salad and Pan con Tomate & Iberico Ham. The dessert section is not to be overlooked, offering treats the likes of Basque Cheesecake and a Spiced pineapple with Rum Syrup and Coconut Ice Cream.

The bar will also feature a range of innovative cocktails, including the gin-based Aventurina and the tequila-infused Safira Rosa, along with a duo of refreshing slushies, Peach Daiquiri and Strawberry Margarita. A thoughtfully curated selection of Portuguese and Spanish wines from lesser-known producers will complement the dining experience.

In addition to the culinary delights, guests can look forward to a programme of live entertainment and a series of Solicito Sundays, courtesy of Big Green Egg, offering a menu cooked exclusively on their famed charcoal grills. Among the dishes, there will be King Prawns with Garlic, Chilli and Parsley, and Vegetable Escalivada – a traditional Catalan recipe of roasted vegetables – topped with goat’s cheese.

For those staying at the art’otel, access to Joia Rooftop’s heated infinity swimming pool entails an added luxury to their visit, blending relaxation with breathtaking city views.
