Warner Bros Pictures to release M Night Shyamalan’s new thriller Trap in UK cinemas on 9th August 2024

Warner Bros Pictures is set to treat audiences with the release of Trap, a new cinematic venture from the imaginative world of M Night Shyamalan. Scheduled to hit UK cinemas on 9th August 2024, the film promises a thrilling experience with a storyline centred around a father and his teen daughter caught in a sinister plot during a pop concert. The movie features an ensemble cast including Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill.

Trap marks another intriguing addition to Shyamalan’s filmography, known for his unique twist endings and suspenseful narratives. The feature is not only directed but also written by M Night Shyamalan, showcasing his multifaceted talent in storytelling. The production team includes Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and Shyamalan himself, with Steven Schneider serving as the executive producer.

The film’s visual and auditory elements are crafted by a team of acclaimed professionals. Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, known for his work on Call Me by Your Name, takes the role of director of photography, while Debbie de Villa brings her design prowess from The Hating Game as the production designer. The editing is handled by Noëmi Preiswerk, with a musical score composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir, known for Knock at the Cabin. The team is completed by music supervisor Susan Jacobs (Old), costume designer Caroline Duncan (Old) and casting by Douglas Aibel (Asteroid City).
