Gadgets and widgets for fashion fans

Gadgets and widgets for fashion fans

Fashion was generally associated with fabrics at one time, but now technology is getting involved. There are a number of unusual gadgets for fashion fans, and if you want to be a trendsetter you need to get your hands on them. HiFun hat

Hats/earmuffs/scarves

Last Christmas a number of retailers were selling hats, earmuffs and scarves with inbuilt speakers. They can be connected to iPods and smart phones so that you can listen to music or a film without disturbing people around you. Kitsound offer a great selection of earmuffs, starting at around £10. This Hi-Fun’s Sound Hat with in-built headphones is a bit more expensive at around £38, but at least your head will be warm while you listen to your music. Pebble watches

Watches

Watches can look classy or they can be tacky. The latest watch from Pebble will allow you to be ahead of everyone else. You can download your own watch face and it has internet-connected apps too. You can even connect your watch to your smart phone using Bluetooth. Google glasses

Glasses

Last year at Diane von Furstenberg’s spring 2013 show, the models were seen wearing Google glasses, known as Glass. The glasses allow users to pair them with a smart phone so that the information can be accessed through the glasses. At the moment, the glasses are still in the development stage. If you want to buy a pair when they are released you better start saving now. These glasses are not going to be cheap. Nanonail

Nails

Decorated nails have become a massive trend over the past few years. Now, technology is getting involved. Nano nail is a manicure that uses microchip technology to allow users to use their smart phones. The false nail allows your index finger to act like a stylus, allowing you to write and text without having to touch your skin to the screen. The nails are expected to retail at around £6 – cheaper than a manicure! SunnyBAG

Handbags

A true fashion lover adores handbags and they will love this bag from SunnyBAG. The bags have integrated water and shock resistant solar panels on the outside of the bag. The panels convert sunlight into electrical power, which can then be used to charge a phone, camera or iPod. A great accessory, and it means you don’t have to worry about your gadget’s batteries running down while you’re out.

There are so many gadgets out there it is hard to keep up. What will be available to fashion lovers next year? One thing is for sure: if you want all these gadgets you will need to start saving now.
