National Doodle Day: celebrity art for sale

National Doodle Day: celebrity art for sale

Imagine owning a piece of celebrity art; art that is donated to an auction, where the money goes towards a good cause.

With over 1,000 personalities in total contributing, the National Doodle Day initiative began ten years ago to raise money to support the work of Epilepsy Action. Epilepsy Action helps improve the lives of people living with epilepsy by providing practical support and information in a number of ways – over 1.1 million people benefited from their services last year.

This great initiative invites any budding artists to get involved – “do a doodle, donate a pound” – for the chance to be entered into a prize draw for the best sketches. By simply doodling, thousands of celebrities, schools, companies and individuals have joined together and raised over £250,000 for charity.

Celebrities such as Holly Fulton, Vogue cover girl Sophie Dahl, Sir Terry Wogan, Olympian medallist Lewis Smith are among the selected few that have participated in aiding this wonderful charity.

£6 could help experts support someone newly diagnosed with epilepsy, providing advice and information when they need it most.

£20 could equip a new volunteer with resources to raise awareness of epilepsy in their local community.

£50 could equip a branch of Epilepsy Action with epilepsy information, to support people with epilepsy and raise awareness locally.

£100 can help training GPs, nurses and other health and social care workers to provide better care for people with epilepsy.

The stars have put pen to paper to each produce a one-off sketch that to be auctioned on eBay. The sale has already started and runs until Sunday February 17. Bid and support Epilepsy Action before it is too late.
