Fashioned by literature: The-Affair

With T-shirts that could win the Pulitzer Prize, The-Affair is one of this year’s can’t miss literary fashioned labels.

From a rubble of broken dreams and boozers in East London, The-Affair was created for discerning, intellectual men who love to read and are bored of reading hip-hop references on T-shirts. We bring you a selection of the ones that they feel are the finest and most iconic.

We begin with Milk with Knives, a T-shirt inspired by the cult classic A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess and taken from the mesmerising words “So you could peet it with vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom… Or you could peet milk with knives in it, as we used to say, and this would sharpen you up for a bit of dirty twenty-to-one…” We are already imagining the reactions that this T-shirt will generate and even if you are not a fan of the book, no one can deny that the content is full of talking points about human behaviour and therefore, a great “first pub date” T-shirt.

In celebration of all things sci-fi, we bring you Forty-Two, a T-shirt inspired by the fantastic The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. If you are as geeky as us and have read the book, you will also know that this is the answer to life; sorry we still don’t know the question! The final T-shirt is for the scholarly, inspired by Dante himself and aptly named Inferno;  from the astounding words: “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here”, what makes this piece of academia better is that it is 100% soft cotton jersey — yeah, comfortable as well as intelligent.
