Take a peek into the world of Gabberdashery

Take a peek into the world of Gabberdashery

You can’t say we never give you anything; we are bringing you yet another fabulous insight into the weird and wonderful world of another online retailer with a twist.

Gabberdashery is no ordinary retailer. Gabby Young makes up one eighth of the “Gabby Young and other animals” band, and they have a website solely devoted to promoting and selling products made by independent designers and manufacturers.

All the sellers create things Gabby loves and even wears herself. The band even encouraged these people to set up stalls at their gigs in the past, allowing their fans to enjoy all the goods for themselves.

The site is filled with fun and flamboyant jewellery, accessories, stationery, home ware and much more, all adoringly chosen by Gabby and all products proudly made in Britain.  It’s hard to choose a favourite, but the arty handmade greeting cards, fashionable headwear and unique jewellery are just a few we’d love to get our hands on.

The band itself is seemingly in a league of its own. Gabby’s tone and singing style has been affectionately nicknamed “circus swing”. She comes from an opera background, but soon realised her passion for jazz-inspired music early on in her life.

We admire what Gabby is doing! We love that she wants to share her success with people around her. Not only is she supporting talented designers, but she’s also taking time away from the band to give these craftsmen and women a platform to get their brands out there, which is normally pretty hard to come by in this market. We just want to add, great name, Gabberdashery!

Have a look on their website here.
