Italian luxury brand Furla celebrated the launch of its newly refurbished flagship store on Regent Street on Thursday. The event was truly #wonderfurla and packed with stylish bloggers, gorgeous handbags and lots of bubbly.

Model and socialite Pixie Geldof made sure that the crowd was entertained with the hottest tunes behind the decks, and Chelsea “it” girl Rosie Fortescue also made an appearance with sister and friends.

The new store layout offers a greater shopping experience on two floors, decorated with a mix of traditional Italian design and contemporary style.

Furla, known for its handbags, accessories, belts and key rings, was founded in 1927 by the Italian Furlanetto family. The brand’s headquarters is located in Bologna, North Italy, from where it is marketed around the world. Today Furla is available in over 70 countries around the world.

One of the label’s most iconic products is the chic “candy bag”, a practical women’s handbag made of a special type of PVC. The bag cleverly combines design, creativity and innovation, the three characteristics Furla is proud of. The material is waterproof and extremely durable, which is why it’s so popular. The candy bag is available in pop colours and different prints, some partially or completely transparent.
