Think pink for spring 2015

Think pink for spring 2015

With April fast approaching, spring is well and truly in our sights. For all you beauty babes out there this means updating your make-up bag with the new season’s focal colour – pink.

Whether it is a full-on fuchsia shade or barely there blush hue, this trend has been spotted on the spring/summer 2015 catwalk at shows such as Matthew Williamson, Fyodor Golan and Burberry Prorsum. On account of this, every big beauty brand has called upon the power of pink in their latest products. We’ve narrowed down the best beauty buys that’ll help you achieve this trend.

Pink Pigeon lipstick, £15.50, MAC Cosmetics

Lipstick is the easiest way to incorporate a pop of pink into your make-up look. Depending on the status of your sassiness, MAC has a fabulous range of vibrant magenta tones which channel the runway faces for S/S 2015. For a more subdued lip that can be worn day-to-day, try a soft stain or tint. This is a more feminine option that will have you looking pretty in pink.

5 couleurs kingdom of colours in house of pinks, £43, Dior

A creative way to become a springtime beauty lies in an update of your fail-safe smokey eye using a palette of rose and lilac harmonies. Blending the two colours together offers a subtle contrast, which will define the eyes and prevent you from looking like an outdated Barbie. Once more, keep the rest of your face fresh; think “barely there”, in order to complete the look.

Cream blush, £7.99, Bourjois Paris

Having dropped off the beauty radar for a while, blusher is back and bigger than ever next season. So, ditch your beloved bronzers as it’s all about a healthy, flushed face for S/S 2015. Creams and gels outshine powders for this result as they add colour without altering the texture of your base. You can also gradually build intensity which gives you the option to don a subdued or shocking shade using the same product.
