Alexa Chung’s Topshop dress is back in stock this week

Raise the alarm, sound the bells, inform the town folk because it’s coming back! The “it” dress of the summer is coming back to a Topshop near you.

The dress we’re talking about is the Topshop Unique Ottoline dress and costs £225. It has also been dubbed the “Alexa” dress because it was Miss Chung herself, who put it on the map. As everyone knows, whenever Alexa wears something Topshop or high street, it means it’s only a matter of time before it’s sold out in stores. And this time was no exception; after Alexa first wore the Ottoline dress at the Unique autumn/winter 2015 show, the dress sold out in three hours. Coincidence? We think not.

Bang on the 70s trend that is sweeping the fashion world this summer, the “Alexa” dress is beautiful and versatile, all at the same time. Jacqui Markham, Topshop’s global design director, has called it one of the biggest successes of Topshop’s, pre-fall collection and we can see why.

Speaking to HuffPost UK Style, Jacqui said: “The dress lends itself perfectly to festivals, weddings and even during colder months, as it can be toughened up with black opaque tights and a leather biker.”

Proving that the “Alexa” dress is perfect for all the fun and busy events that fill up our summer calendar, it can be worn over and over again in many different ways – making it a sound investment for any girl’s wardrobe, no matter what age or style.

Now that the famous dress is soon to be back in stock, we’re sure it won’t be long until it’s out of stock again, so make sure you get in there early! You can request to be notified when the dress is available again this week by signing up on the website but also look out for it at your local Topshop. We certainly will be!
