Must-have high street bags for autumn

Though we hate to see our straw totes and beach jutes banished to the back of the closet, autumn is upon us and we’re hungry for new styles and weather appropriate bags! The high street is brimming with gorgeous new styles to fit both your work and off-duty needs and we’re super excited to show you the fabulous options we’ve found!

Frame bag with statement chain, £28, Asos

This ultra stylish frame bag is the perfect addition to amp up the excitement of a sleek tailored ensemble. The faux, dark burgundy leather is a fabulous colour for autumn and subtle enough not to clash with the optional, tortoiseshell statement strap.

Kenya leopard print bum bag, £25, Topshop

We really don’t need to remind you that animal print is the hottest trend of the season ahead so we’ll just casually point out this amazing leopard print bum bag and let you know that it also comes in a zebra print.

Fin leather mini backpack, £178, Allsaints

For the many days where a tiny cross body bag just won’t cut it, every girl needs a great backpack. This stunning port burgundy coloured offering from AllSaints is as practical as it is stylish. It may be a little pricier than your average everyday handbag but the quality and timeless style is well worth the investment.

Pearl embellished cross body bag, £65, River Island

Once summer is over it’s okay to immediately think about Christmas, right? Treat yourself to an extremely early gift this year with this dramatically embellished cross body bag from River Island. Wear this show-stopping bag with an all black ensemble to really up the drama of your look!

Red city bag, £25.99, Zara

Continuing the animal theme is this beautiful red printed city bag. The faux crocodile skin is in-keeping with this wild new trend but the fact the bag is all in one striking shade of red means it’s not overly fussy. It’s a more subtle way to rock this look if you’re not a fan of the bolder leopard or cheetah prints.

Beaded wood handbag, £39.99, Mango

Due to their lightness in both colour and weight, straw bags are perfect for the summer. Now that the colder weather is looming however, we love the idea of switching those out for a heavier, darker version like this beautifully made wooden handbag instead. Goodbye straw, hello wood!
