Albert Adrià reopens Enigma on 7 June as a “fun-dining” restaurant and cocktail bar

Albert Adrià’s celebrated avant-garde restaurant, Enigma, will reopen its doors on 7th June with a completely new proposal dubbed “fun-dining”. For the time being, it will be the only venture from the Catalan chef.

Enigma will be not only a boundary-pushing restaurant and cocktail bar, but a place continuously teeming with life, where guests can go for lunch any time between 1pm and 4pm, or for a special afternoon drinks offer from 5pm until 9pm.

The tasting menu has disappeared, and the diner can choose their own path à la carte. In addition, there will be two further spaces – La Plancha and La Barra – where small dishes will be created in front of the guests. Enigma will also serve cocktails inspired by the work they have done at elBulli.

From 5pm, it becomes another concept, changing its aesthetic and extending the drinks menu, which will now be combined with a selection of culinary preparations designed to accompany the cocktails. At this point, the food will be at the service of the cocktails, which will be somewhat more informal and festive – in Spain they call it tardeo. The session will continue until 9pm.
