West End’s Cabaret welcomes Rhea Norwood and Layton Williams to its star-studded cast from June 2024

The West End’s acclaimed production of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club is set to welcome new stars into its ranks from 3^rd June 2024, with an array of talent that promises to invigorate the renowned musical. Rhea Norwood, known for her role in Netflix’s Heartstopper, will make her professional stage and West End debut as Sally Bowles. She will be joined by Layton Williams, celebrated for his roles in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Bad Education, who will take on the role of The Emcee. Veteran performers Sally Ann Triplett and Fenton Gray have been cast as Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz, respectively, bringing their extensive experience to the production that recently marked its 1000^th performance.

The announcement comes as Cabaret continues to secure its place as a fixture in London’s theatrical landscape, with bookings available until February 2025. The production, directed by Rebecca Frecknall and featuring iconic songs like Wilkommen and Don’t Tell Mama, has been lauded as the ultimate theatrical experience since its opening in December 2021, garnering a record-breaking seven Olivier Awards in April 2022 among other accolades.

Norwood expressed her excitement about her West End debut, reflecting on the transition from screen to stage. Williams shared his enthusiasm for joining the cast, acknowledging the significance of Cabaret in his career trajectory. Triplett and Gray also conveyed their eagerness to breathe new life into their roles, highlighting the timeless appeal of Cabaret.

The updated cast will perform alongside established members, including Michael Ahomka-Lindsay as Clifford Bradshaw and Wilf Scolding as Ernst Ludwig, ensuring a seamless blend of talent. Additionally, Nic Myers is set to portray Sally Bowles once a week, offering audiences a unique take on the iconic character.
