“It’s got all the ingredients for an exhilarating and fun time”: Len Wiseman and Norman Reedus on Ballerina

“It’s got all the ingredients for an exhilarating and fun time”: Len Wiseman and Norman Reedus on Ballerina

This new action-packed feature film, Ballerina, is the fifth film in the John Wick franchise and is set between the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum and Chapter 4. Produced by Chad Stahelski, with Len Wiseman directing, this fast-paced thriller builds more layers to the John Wick framework as viewers delve further into the conflicts and secrets of this violent underworld.

After her father’s death, Eva Macarro (Ana de Armas) seeks revenge on the people who killed him. A newly trained assassin with a strong background in the disciplines of ballet, she is coached under the strict regime of the Ruska Roma before she sets off on a personal mission to destroy the tribe that murdered him. Along the way, she meets with an array of protectors and persecutors, where John Wick fans will see familiar roles reprised as she starts to uncover the reasons behind her father’s murder.

The Upcoming had the pleasure of speaking to director Wiseman and Norman Reedus (Daniel Pine) about their journey to making the movie, working with de Armas and what they hope viewers will take away from watching it.
