Pía León to join Azotea in Turin ahead of World’s 50 Best Restaurants ceremony

Acclaimed Peruvian chef Pía León will collaborate with Azotea in Turin for a special dining event on 18th June. The 50 Best Signature Session is part of the official programme surrounding the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, in which a series of unique lunches and dinners leading up to the ceremony will be hosted in and around the city, which is cementing its international relevance beyond the food industry.
León, who was dubbed World’s Best Female Chef in 2021 and Latin America’s Best Female Chef in 2018, and who owns Kjolle in Lima, which ranked 16th in the 2024 list, will be welcomed by Noemi Dell’Agnello and Matteo Fornaro of Azotea. León will join resident chef Alexander Robles to present a co-created menu with dishes drawing on Peruvian culinary traditions, interpreted from two distinct perspectives: the ingredient-focused approach of Kjolle and Azotea’s signature Nikkei style.
In addition to the food, the dinner will feature a cocktail pairing by Azotea’s bar manager, Matteo Fornaro, in partnership with Ocho tequila, whose recent rebranding pays tribute to Mexican distillation traditions and claims its status as the world’s first single-estate tequila. Each bottle is labelled with the name of the estate where the agave was grown, the year of harvest and its altitude.
The World’s 50 Best Restaurants aims to highlight culinary innovation and collaboration, bringing together renowned chefs and local establishments from around the world.
