Sea Containers Restaurant unveils French Riviera-inspired summer terrace in collaboration with ST~GERMAIN

Sea Containers Restaurant, situated within the Sea Containers London hotel on the South Bank, has unveiled a new summer terrace in partnership with French elderflower liqueur brand ST~GERMAIN. The space, which has just recently opened and will remain in place until September, aims to evoke the atmosphere of the French Riviera along the banks of the River Thames.

The terrace has been redesigned with Mediterranean-inspired décor, incorporating greenery and offering views of the Thames. The collaboration between the restaurant and ST~GERMAIN is intended to create a seasonal outdoor dining and drinking destination for Londoners and visitors seeking al fresco experiences during the summer months.

A central feature of the terrace is a menu of five cocktails, each incorporating ST~GERMAIN liqueur. The selection includes the ST~GERMAIN Hugo Spritz, a light and crisp cocktail, blending elderflower liqueur with bubbly Prosecco, cooling mint, fresh lime and soda. Other options are Le Grand Fizz, combining Grey Goose vodka, lime and soda; Fleur de Pêche, which includes peach liqueur and Prosecco; Lavender Paloma, featuring Patrón Silver tequila, lavender syrup, grapefruit and lime; and ST~GERMAIN’s Muse, a cocktail that mixes red wine, cognac, elderflower liqueur and soda.

Alongside the drinks, the terrace offers a menu of seasonal small plates devised by the Sea Containers Restaurant kitchen. Dishes include English Oyster with Lemon, Seabass Ceviche Tacos with Red Onion Salsa and Coriander, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with Horseradish and Bloody Mary Sauce, and Exmoor Caviar served with house-made potato crisps, sour cream and chives. Vegetarian and sharing options such as Blistered Peppers with sea salt and Four Cheese Croquettes with jalapeño mayonnaise are also available.

For those seeking a more substantial meal, the terrace serves the restaurant’s à la carte menu for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Main courses feature dishes such as Trofie Pasta with Kale and Sunflower Pesto, Porthilly Mussels with Butter and Charred Bread, Atlantic Cod with sauce vierge and sea herbs, Brick Chicken with confit garlic jus and salsa verde, and Surrey Farm Rib Eye with watercress and green peppercorn sauce.

The terrace is open daily from 12pm to 9pm throughout the summer. For further information and reservations, visit Sea Containers’ website here.
