YouMeSushi launches private chef giveaway to celebrate National Sushi Day

The sushi restaurant group YouMeSushi will celebrate National Sushi Day on the 18th of June 2025 by offering customers the chance to win a private sushi chef experience. The initiative will take place across the chain’s 25 locations, which include branches in London and Reading, and aims to engage sushi enthusiasts with a unique culinary opportunity.

The competition, which runs from the 9th to the 18th of June, invites participants to purchase any sushi item either in-store or online. To enter, customers must follow @youmesushi on Instagram and upload their proof of purchase along with contact details. Two winners will be selected to receive a four-hour private chef experience, valued at over £200. The prize includes an expert YouMeSushi chef preparing a bespoke à la carte sushi menu at the winner’s home or office, a perfectly suitable occasion for team lunches, dinner parties, or private gatherings.

Winners will be announced on 19th June via YouMeSushi’s Instagram page. The experience is available for locations within a three-mile radius of a YouMeSushi branch, and outdoor venues are excluded from the offer. The competition comes as part of YouMeSushi’s efforts to mark International Sushi Day, a date celebrated by sushi lovers worldwide.

YouMeSushi operates several branches across London, including locations in Hampstead, Finchley Central, Marylebone, Ealing, and Gray’s Inn Road, as well as sites outside the capital. Some outlets are takeaway only, while others offer dine-in options. The group has recently expanded, with a new branch which recently opened in Brixton.

The menu at YouMeSushi includes a variety of Japanese staples, such as salmon and tuna sashimi, poke bowls, Teriyaki Chicken Rice, Chicken Gyoza Ramen, and an assortment of sushi rolls like the Dragon Roll and Crunch Cali Roll. Vegan options are also available, including the Vegan Tofu Teriyaki Donburi.
