UK-based outdoor oven manufacturer Gozney has announced the launch of the Matty Matheson Signature Tread, a limited-edition portable pizza oven, available from 18th June, that has been created in partnership with Canadian chef and television personality Matty Matheson. The product marks the culmination of a decade-long relationship between Matheson and the Dorset-founded brand, and is intended to celebrate both Matheson’s distinctive style and Gozney’s reputation for innovative outdoor cooking equipment.

Part of a capsule collection, the new oven features a bright orange colour scheme and a cartoon-style illustration engraved onto its stainless steel exterior from artwork by Christopher Wilson, a long-time collaborator of Matheson. In addition to the oven itself, the collection includes customised placement peels and a range of merchandise such as a hat, t-shirt and sweatshirt.

Matheson, best known for his appearances in the TV series The Bear and for his work as a chef, restaurateur and author, said: “I love Gozney and I love to cook outdoors in a Gozney oven. Me and Tom Gozney go way back – imagine two great minds mashed into one great thing. This special edish Matty Matheson Tread is for you. Get out there and make something!”

Tom Gozney, founder and designer at Gozney, commented: “Matty’s been part of the Gozney story almost since the beginning – nearly a decade deep. He’s always been obsessed with the gear and has become a real part of the brand’s DNA. So it felt natural – and honestly overdue – to create something together that truly reflects that relationship. The new limited-edition Tread is loud, bold, full of personality and, just like Matheson, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. But underneath all that fun, it’s still Gozney through and through: built for performance, made to last. We wanted something that visually screams Matheson, while still delivering the world-class quality we’re known for. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve made together.”

The Matty Matheson Signature Tread retains the technical features of the original Gozney Tread oven, which launched earlier in 2025 and received an iF Good Design award. It’s designed for portability and durability, with a temperature range reaching up to 500°C in 15 minutes, and uses Gozney’s lateral gas burner system to mimic the heat distribution of a traditional wood-fired oven. Optional accessories, such as the Venture Stand and Roof Rack, are available to enhance outdoor cooking versatility.

The launch coincides with Gozney’s summer brand campaign, Cook Different, in which Matheson features as both a late-night infomercial salesman and a Gozney customer service representative.
