Novikov Asian launches Hikari lunch menu ahead of International Sushi Day

Mayfair restaurant Novikov Asian has introduced a new three-course lunch menu called Hikari, available on weekdays from 12pm to 4pm at its Berkeley Street location. The launch comes ahead of International Sushi Day, which falls on 18th June, and offers diners a variety of Japanese-inspired dishes curated by head chef Luca Malacarne.

Starters on offer include Seared Salmon Nigiri, Quail Egg Gunkan and Tuna with Jalapeño Dressing. For the middle course, diners can choose from Crunchy Tuna Roll, Hamachi Yuzu Truffle Roll or Crispy Salmon Cheese. Main courses feature Steamed Seabass Fillet, Prawns Szechuan Style and Chicken with Sweet and Sour Sauce. Additional sides such as Egg Fried Rice, Grilled Asparagus or Duck Fried Rice can be added for £10, while desserts like Japanese Mochi ice cream, Matcha Crème Brûlée or Coconut Panacotta are available for an extra £5.

The term hikari means “light” or “radiance” in Japanese, and the menu reflects the brightness of midday and the elevated tone of the dishes. Guests have the option to dine inside the restaurant’s contemporary interiors or outside on the terrace. According to the restaurant, Novikov Asian, known for sourcing some of the freshest cuts of sashimi and sushi in London, is the perfect place to honour the art of sushi.”
