The Shard launches summer saver tickets for London’s most iconic view

The View from the Shard has introduced a new weekday ticket offer aimed at making London’s skyline more accessible to residents and visitors during the summer months. Beginning this week, the attraction is offering a £17 Summer Saver ticket, available every Monday and Tuesday between 10am and 5pm, which also encourages more visits during off-peak hours.

Located on floors 68, 69 and 72 of the 95-storey skyscraper, The View from the Shard remains the tallest building in the United Kingdom. Since opening to the public in 2013, the observation deck has become a popular destination for both tourists and Londoners, offering sweeping 360-degree views of the capital views across the city. Iconic landmarks such as Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral and Canary Wharf are all visible from nearly 310 metres above ground.

A spokesperson for The View from the Shard said the offer was designed to appeal to those seeking a quieter experience or looking to explore the city on a budget: “It’s perfect for spontaneous days out, quiet moments, or showing off the city to visitors.”

The £17 ticket represents a significant reduction from standard entry prices, which typically start at around £28, in a move that comes as London’s tourism sector continues to recover following the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Attractions across the capital have introduced a range of offers and off-peak pricing structures in an effort to attract more local visitors and boost weekday footfall.

The Shard’s management has not disclosed how long the promotion will run, but it is expected to remain in place for the duration of the summer period.
