Zima Notting Hill adds chef Vikentev’s tasting menu highlights to à la carte specials

Notting Hill’s contemporary Eastern European restaurant, Zima, has announced a change to its dinner service following a summer guest appearance by Evgeny Vikentev. From now until September, four dishes from his time-limited six-course tasting menu will be offered as à la carte specials from Thursday to Saturday. The selection has come about as the result of a partnership between Zima Notting Hill and the Michelin-starred experimental chef, aiming to introduce a refined interpretation of Eastern European cuisine to the west London food scene.

The collaboration officially comes to an end this week, however, the restaurant’s decision to continue serving select elements from the tasting menu allows diners to enjoy Vikentev’s culinary style without committing to the full experience. The dishes retained to complement the Zima’s main offerings include Venison, Foie Gras, Ceps, scallops with chamomile and pumpkin, Sturgeon, Mushrooms, Caviar and an Asian Pavlova

Originally from Russia, Vikentev has built a reputation for blending traditional Eastern European ingredients with modern techniques and presentation. His work contrasts vibrant and earthy flavours, placing emphasis on seasonal produce sourced from both land and sea. Zima’s decision to integrate elements of the chef’s guest menu into its regular service reflects an effort to maintain elements of his distinctive approach while adapting to broader customer preferences.
