Nancy Spain’s Monument to reopen after refurbishment with £2 Murphy’s pints and late-night hours

Irish pub Nancy Spain’s reopens its Monument branch in the heart of London’s financial district this Tuesday, following a summer refurbishment – and they’re marking their return by offering 5,000 pints of Murphy’s stout for £2 each, available on a first-come, first-served basis. The relaunch aims to re-establish the venue as a popular destination for City workers and weekend visitors alike.

The pub, which has built a reputation for its lively atmosphere and Irish-themed hospitality, has undergone a general revamp that includes updated décor and enhancements to its entertainment and beverage offerings. As part of the relaunch, Nancy Spain’s Monument has also secured a new extended licence, allowing it to remain open until 6am on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to the extended hours, the pub now boasts a selection of over 100 Irish whiskeys, and continues to serve Murphy’s Stout as its flagship drink. Notably, the pub does not serve Guinness, instead focusing on Murphy’s as its stout of choice. Live music and late-night events are also expected to be a regular feature of the venue’s new schedule.

The management has described the reopening as a celebration of Irish culture and community within the City of London, adding that they’re “celebrating in true Irish style with 5,000 pints of Murphy’s for just £2 each! Once they’re gone, they’re gone!”.
