The Hummingbird Bakery unveils limited-edition Diwali collection

London-based bakery chain The Hummingbird Bakery has launched a limited-edition Diwali collection, available online from 13th October. The colourful range includes specially designed offerings, aimed at celebrating the Hindu festival of lights with a contemporary take on traditional motifs. A Diwali Selection Box, priced at £25, features six vanilla cupcakes decorated with handmade sugar paste flowers, presented for gifting, sharing or enjoying as part of a celebration spread. Also part of the collection is the Diwali Heart Cake, a two-layer vanilla sponge, priced at £36, that is topped with bright yellow frosting and decorated with piped orange and hot pink details, drawing inspiration from vintage cake designs.

The bakery, established in 2004 and known for its American-style baked goods, is offering the collection exclusively through its online platform in the lead-up to Diwali, which this year falls on 12th November. The festival is celebrated by millions across the UK and around the world, and is marked by the lighting of lamps, fireworks and the sharing of sweets and gifts. This collection reflects a broader trend among UK retailers and food brands to cater to diverse cultural celebrations, particularly as Diwali becomes more widely recognised in mainstream retail calendars.

A spokesperson for the bakery stated: “The Hummingbird Bakery’s Diwali collection brings a modern twist to timeless traditions that are simply delicious. Perfect for gifting or lighting up your own festive spread.”
