Gozney unveils Dome Gen 2 Series of larger, smarter hybrid-fuel ovens for home cooks

UK-based outdoor oven manufacturer Gozney has announced the launch of its Dome Gen 2 Series, a new line of hybrid-fuel versions designed for home use. The updated models – Dome (Gen 2) and Dome XL (Gen 2) – were unveiled on 10th September and will be available for purchase from 15th October via Gozney’s website and selected retailers. The release marks a significant upgrade to the original Dome oven, which debuted in 2021, and aims to provide home cooks with increased cooking capacity and greater fuel flexibility.

The Dome Gen 2 Series is available in two sizes: the standard is 40% larger than its predecessor and can accommodate two 10-inch pizzas, while the Dome XL is 90% larger and can cook either three 10-inch pizzas or a single 18-inch pizza. Both models are designed for use with wood, gas or charcoal, offering users a range of cooking styles and flavour profiles. They incorporate several new features aimed at improving performance and ease of use. These include a built-in digital console with sensors to monitor air and floor temperature, twin meat probes and a timer. A new wood-fire control kit allows for more precise airflow and added power when cooking with wood or charcoal, while a lateral flame burner provides adjustable heat levels. The ovens are also built with over 25 serviceable components designed for long-term maintenance and upgrades.

According to Gozney, the development of the Dome Gen 2 Series was informed by feedback from a global network of chefs. Among those involved were chef Chris Bianco – a James Beard Award winner, barbecue pitmaster Rasheed Philips and the Michelin-starred Thai-American chef, Dalad Kambhu. Each tested the new equipment’s capabilities for different cooking applications, including pizza, smoking and multi-course meals.

Tom Gozney, founder and designer of the company, said: “Dome Gen 2 is a huge milestone. It’s the story of evolution. From the original Dome to this new generation, we’ve listened to feedback and pushed ourselves to refine every detail. This launch represents relentless iteration and obsession, becoming the purest expression of Gozney design. There’s nothing like it on the market, and for me, it’s deeply personal. Dome has been the vehicle that’s reshaped who we are as a brand. Gen 2 is the pinnacle. The most refined, most consumer-focused, most powerful product we’ve ever made.”

The ovens will be offered in two colour options – Bone and Off Black – with prices starting at £1,999.99. The company says the new range reflects its ongoing commitment to performance, durability and design in the live-fire cooking space.
