Riviera in Mayfair unveils new Mediterranean menu inspired by the South of France

Mediterranean-inspired restaurant Riviera, in Mayfair, operated by Emerald Hospitality Group, has launched a new menu this month at its St James’s Street location in London. The updated offering aims to bring a seasonal refresh of their concept, culinary essence of the South of France with a focus on bold flavours, seafood, and tableside presentation.

Located at 23 St James’s Street, the venue is characterised by a Mediterranean décor and art-adorned interiors, with pieces selected from the private collection of the Zandi brothers, founders of Emerald Hospitality Group. The golden-hued entrance, in particular, is intended to evoke the atmosphere of the Côte d’Azur. The new menu continues this theme of continental elegance, featuring a variety of dishes that emphasise both indulgence and presentation.

Among the starters, diners can expect traditional French Snails with Garlic Butter and Parsley Persillade, Burrata, Datterini and Taggiasca Olives and Truffle & Goat Cheese stuffed Courgette Flower in Tempura. The pasta selection includes a whole native Lobster pasta, Trofie with Pesto, and a Parmesan Wheel Bucatini finished tableside.

For the main meat courses, the selection comprises Beef Fillet with Café de Paris Butter and a 1kg Ribeye Steak cooked over charcoal. Seafood options feature Sea Bass Acqua Pazza and Cod in Beurre Blanc Sauce.

The drinks menu has been updated as well, with cocktails designed to complement the overall theme. The list includes the Riviera Elixir, made with port wine, spiced rum and cinnamon, and the Peach Caviar. There is also a selection of alcohol-free alternatives such as Virgin Paradis de Mangue.

Available daily from 12-5pm, the set lunch menu proves to be great value for the generous portions and the central location of the restaurant: guests can order one main course at the price of £19, two courses for £34, and three courses (a starter, main and a dessert) for £41. Among the options, there are the Veal Ragù Rigatoni and the Riviera Sea Bass.
