Sketch London brings Mexican design to Mayfair with ¡Hola, London! exhibition and Patrón Nights

Sketch London has launched a new exhibition titled ¡Hola, London!, running from mid September till November at its Mayfair venue. The exhibition marks the UK debut of AGO Projects, a Mexico City-based design gallery, and features the work of Mestiz, a studio led by Mexican designer Daniel Valero. Originally commissioned by the Denver Art Museum, the installation transforms the entrance and reception areas of Sketch into a vibrant landscape inspired by the folklore, nature and traditional craftsmanship of the Latin American region.

Mestiz’s work blends traditional artisanal techniques with contemporary design. In ¡Hola, London!, Valero’s pieces present a surreal interpretation of the Mexican landscape, incorporating elements of local symbolism and handcrafted textures, and creating a multisensory environment that bridges art, design and cultural expression.

The exhibition, which is open to the general public, is a collaborative effort between AGO Projects and Patrón Tequila, which is also involved in a concurrent series of themed evenings at Sketch, called Patrón Nights. The ticketed tequilla-fuelled evenings (priced at £40 per person) are scheduled for every Friday, with Latin DJs, dancing, cocktails and themed canapés. According to organisers, the aim is to offer “a celebration of Mexican creativity through immersive design and vibrant nightlife.”
