Michelin-starred chef Phil Howard and his long-time business partner Julian Dyer will open Notto Broadgate, a new fast-casual pasta restaurant, in mid-November. Located in the eponymous development in the City of London, the outlet marks the third site for the brand and its first foray into the quick-service dining sector. The new branch is aimed at busy professionals and commuters seeking high-quality meals served at speed.

The Broadgate opening is a departure from Notto’s existing venues in Piccadilly and Covent Garden, which focus on traditional dine-in experiences. The new location will offer a streamlined format, with six cooked-to-order pasta dishes, four salads and a dedicated burrata bar, aiming to deliver restaurant-quality food in a fast-paced setting “designed for busy professionals who value both speed and quality”. Among the team are executive chef Louis Korovilas, formerly of Locanda Locatelli and Bancone, and general manager Andre Van Staden, previously of Wingstop and Nando’s.

The menu, with prices ranging from £12.50 to £25.00, showcases options such as Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe, Spaghetti with a Bolognese of Aged British Beef, Field Mushrooms and Red Wine and Strozzapreti with Black Truffles, Chicken Stock, Farm House Butter and Parmesan. For salads, there are variations inspired by Italian regions, like The Amalfi (Niçoise-style with line-caught tuna) and The Piedmont (with blue cheese, walnuts and dried apple) – and there’s a side salad available for £4.50. A key feature at the venue is the burrata bar, which offers 100g portions of the creamy delicacy from Buchanans Cheesemonger, paired with seasonal toppings such as smashed green olives, classic pesto and anchovy with orange dressing, each priced at £6.75. Additional items for hungry diners include focaccia and a chocolate ganache pot, all made in-house. 

The service model at Notto Broadgate replaces self-service screens with a “tray-slide” counter format, allowing diners to select their salads and extras while their chosen pasta dish is prepared before their eyes.

“A fantastic bowl of pasta has always been at the heart of Notto, and Notto Broadgate allows us to bring that same ingredient-led passion into a fast-paced environment,” explains Howard. “Add a burrata bar and a handful of wholesome salads and we believe we have an offering which is super fresh, super quick but still cooked with real care and attention.”
