Immersive mobile planetarium to debut at Battersea Power Station

A new immersive experience will make its UK debut at Battersea Power Station from 30th January till 1st March 2026. Planetarium Go UK will be installed in Power Station Park, courtesy the Spanish mobile planetarium company, offering visitors of all ages the opportunity to engage with astronomy through 360° high-resolution projections and educational films. The pop-up aims to inspire interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by making the science of the stars accessible and engaging for families, schools and anyone else who’s curious.

Planetarium Go UK will be housed inside a spherical dome structure, providing an immersive environment to learn about topics such as galaxies, planets and cosmic phenomena. The experience combines scientific storytelling with visual effects, and is designed to appeal to both children and adults with a strong emphasis on scientific outreach, sustainability and community engagement. According to José Jiménez, CEO of Planetarium Go UK and AstroÁndalus, “Our purpose is to bring science to more places and offer immersive experiences that spark curiosity and inspire STEM pathways from an early age. Planetarium Go UK blends education and excitement to transform learning into a memorable experience. We work with communities, schools and local organisations to make science accessible to everyone, bringing a mobile planetarium to cities that do not yet have one.”

Battersea Power Station, which has undergone significant regeneration in recent years, makes for an ideal venue for the UK launch. Renee Moran of the Battersea Power Station Development Company commented, “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Planetarium Go UK to Battersea Power Station and to be the first destination in the UK to host this exciting experiential pop-up. It’s a fantastic opportunity for visitors of all ages to discover and learn more about astronomy and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy the Planetarium when it arrives in the new year.”

The experience will be open on Mondays to Thursdays and Sundays from 10am to 7pm, and Fridays and Saturdays from 10am to 8.30pm. Standard tickets are priced at £15, with concessions for students and school groups, as well as family packages available.
