Netflix launches Stranger Things-inspired Hawkins Diner delivery service across UK ahead of final season

Netflix and food brand platform Sessions have launched a new delivery-only restaurant, Hawkins Diner, across 150 UK locations ahead of the release of the latest Stranger Things episodes. The menu, inspired by the popular series, is available now via Deliveroo in cities including London, Manchester, Bristol, Kent and Plymouth. It aims to offer fans a themed dining experience at home as the fifth and final season of Stranger Things is released in three parts, starting on 27th November, with the next instalment arriving on Boxing Day.

Hawkins Diner serves a menu of American comfort food with references to the 1980s setting of the show. Dishes include the Upside Down Stack – smashed beef patties with cheese, pickles, mustard and ketchup, served between pancakes – as well as Hellfire Tots, which are topped with jalapeños, onions and a spicy sauce. Other items include a peanut butter and jelly chicken burger, tenders, indulgent desserts and stateside beverages Jordan Moore, executive development chef at Sessions, said: “When creating the Hawkins Diner menu, we wanted to capture the nostalgia of a classic 1980s American diner but with a Stranger Things twist. That’s what we call #StrangeComfort: iconic comfort dishes made just a little stranger. Think a PB&J Chicken Burger, where creamy peanut butter collides with sweet and spicy chilli jam, or the Upside Down Stack, which swaps out the bun for fluffy pancakes to create the ultimate sweet-savoury mash-up. For dessert, our Biscoff-infused banana pudding is banoffee pie’s all-American cousin. And of course, you can wash it all down with sodas like root beer and Mountain Dew — straight out of Hawkins in the 80s.”

Stranger Things, created by the Duffer Brothers, debuted in 2016 and has since become one of Netflix’s most watched series, with its fourth season amassing over 140 million views globally. The final season will conclude with a finale released on 1st January.

Orders from Hawkins Diner can be placed via Deliveroo in participating locations now.
