Mucci’s to relaunch in Chelsea with fixed “10/20” menu pricing to tackle the cost of dining out

Italian restaurant Mucci’s, on King’s Road, will relaunch this April with a new fixed pricing model, coinciding with the opening of an expanded outdoor terrace for the summer season. Dubbed 10/20, the revised system prices every starter at £10 and every main at £20. The change, which comes after six years of operation, is intended to simplify the dining experience and provide customers with greater certainty over their bill.

The concept is the brainchild of owner Giuseppe Mucci, who has become a familiar presence to regular patrons. He explained that the move was prompted by feedback from guests and the broader context of rising costs associated with eating out in the UK. “People still want to go out, but they also want to know what the bill will look like before they sit down,” he said. “With 10/20 we’ve simplified the whole restaurant – great Italian food, clear pricing and the same atmosphere our regulars love. It’s about keeping dining out fun, relaxed and accessible.”

Unlike traditional set menus or limited-time offers, the 10/20 structure applies to the entire menu, making Mucci’s one of few restaurants to adopt such a comprehensive approach. Diners will be able to choose from a range of Italian dishes, made with carefully sourced and primarily Italian ingredients. Among the options are rock oysters, tuna tartare, a classic carbonara, sea bream, tuna steak and a selection of pizzas. The latter come with a variety of toppings and combinations such as the Devil Wears Prada, which features spicy salami, nduja and fresh chillies.

The relaunch will also see the expansion of Mucci’s terrace, which is lushly decorated with fresh flowers and aims to create the atmosphere of an Italian summer in Chelsea. The increased outdoor seating is expected to be ready for the summer months, providing additional space for customers to enjoy the menu in an alfresco setting.
