London Marathon finishers can claim a free drink at Belgravia pub on race day

Runners completing the London Marathon on 26th April will be able to claim a complimentary drink at a Belgravia pub as part of a post-race celebration offer.

The Prince Arthur on Pimlico Road is inviting anyone wearing a finisher’s medal to come for a free pint or a glass of house sparkling wine. The venue provides a nearby space for runners and their supporters to gather, following one of the world’s most prominent road races. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the finish line on The Mall, making it a convenient option for those looking to rest and recover in the immediate aftermath of the 26.2-mile course. There’s a relaxed atmosphere and dogs are welcome, meaning runners can bring along four-legged companions as well as friends and family.

In addition to the complimentary drink, the pub will be serving a selection of bar snacks intended to help with refuelling after the race. The menu includes pickled mussels, pigs’ ears and a house chorizo Scotch egg served with beer mustard.

The London Marathon, which first took place in 1981, regularly attracts tens of thousands of participants each year, with the 2026 event expected to draw a similarly large field of both elite and amateur runners. It traditionally finishes near Buckingham Palace, having traversed the length and breadth of central London.

The Prince Arthur’s race day offer requires no advance booking or registration – runners need only present their finisher’s medal to qualify. The pub is open to supporters and spectators as well, providing a central meeting point for groups separated during the race. It is part of a broader tradition of local businesses in central London marking marathon day with special treats aimed at the significant number of participants and spectators who flood the capital each April for the annual event.
