Tigermilk to launch flagship Spitalfields restaurant with 280 seats and grand Latin American design

Tigermilk, the Latin American-inspired brasserie group, will open its largest restaurant to date in London’s Spitalfields on the 8th of May. The new flagship, located at the London Fruit Exchange on Brushfield Street, will accommodate up to 280 guests across two floors, following the success of the brand’s London debut on Tottenham Court Road last summer. The expansion comes as Tigermilk continues to grow its presence in Europe, with the Spitalfields opening marking its thirteenth site since the company was founded in 2019 by Nina and Alexis Melikov.

The Spitalfields branch will feature 230 indoor seats and a 50-cover terrace, arranged throughout a series of interconnected spaces designed to evoke the atmosphere of a grand Latin American hacienda. Guests will enter via a courtyard and move through a sequence of rooms, including a main dining area and a large orangery capable of seating over 80 people. A six-metre-high bar, overlooking the courtyard and backed by more than 2,000 bottles, will serve as the restaurant’s centrepiece.

Tigermilk’s founders, Nina and Alexis Melikov, stated: “We see Tigermilk as the Latin American answer to the European brasserie. With Spitalfields, we wanted to go further, bigger, louder, and more alive, while keeping what matters most: generosity, atmosphere, and a place people come back to without thinking twice.”

The menu at the new site will continue the group’s emphasis on sharing plates and bold flavours. Dishes include Cochinita Pibil Tacos – roasted pork marinated in citrus juices – alongside ceviches and large-format plates. Desserts on offer will feature Maracuyá Tiramisu and Dulce de Leche Cheesecake. The bar will present a selection of more than 250 tequilas and mezcals, with a cocktail list highlighting both classic margaritas and new signature drinks.

The group, which serves over 4,000 guests daily across its European locations, is known for its vibrant interiors and high-energy dining experience.
