Burnt Ends Hospitality Group is launching People People Brewing Co, a 9,000 sq ft working brewery and social venue at Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore, on 15th April. The venture brings together on-site beer production, wood-fire cooking and a flexible events programme under one roof, with the stated aim of making quality craft beer accessible to a broader audience.

The brewery is a joint venture led by Dave Pynt (chef and founder of Burnt Ends Hospitality Group), Loh Lik Peng (founder of Unlisted Collection), Pete Thew (a hospitality entrepreneur) and Jason Moy (a brand and consumer strategist). The four bring experience across culinary, hospitality development and brand strategy disciplines.

The brewery

The brewing programme is overseen by head brewer Nick Calder-Scholes, who has more than a decade of experience working across the UK, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, and was named Australian Brewer of the Year by Beer & Brewer in 2024. Calder-Scholes manages all on-site brewing operations, from recipe development through to service, working with custom-designed equipment and five 1,500-litre tanks that feed directly into the venue’s taps. Guests are able to observe the brewing process throughout the day, from grain through to the final pour.

The range is structured across four collections: Core, Seasonal, Workshop Series and Founder’s Reserve. The Core Collection covers staple styles including lager, pale ale and IPA. Seasonal releases are shaped by collaboration and timing, while the Workshop Series focuses on smaller-batch and experimental styles. Founder’s Reserve expressions are limited releases available exclusively to founding members of the venue’s membership programme.

The food

The kitchen is built around two wood-fired cooking systems: a Classico oven used for pizzas and fast bakes, and a Camino open-fire hearth fitted with a central rotisserie and adjustable grills. Both are visible from the main floor, in keeping with the venue’s emphasis on transparency in both brewing and cooking.

The menu is designed around sharing, featuring wood-fired sourdough pizzas, rotisserie chicken, burgers and bar bites. It has been developed to complement the brewery’s beer range rather than overshadow it. Signature dishes include a Miso Beef Short Rib Pizza with tangy tomato sauce and chimichurri, Lemon Thyme Roast Chicken basted with herb butter and served with jus, and Salt and Pepper Squid with green chilli, spring onion and lemon aioli.

The venue and events

People People Brewing Co is located within WEAVE at Resorts World Sentosa and is accessible without the standard Sentosa island entry fee.

The venue has a seated capacity of 180 and can accommodate between 300 and 400 guests standing, with a layout that incorporates both indoor and outdoor areas, communal tables and clear sightlines to the brewing tanks. The space is designed to operate across different times of day and occasion types, from after-work drinks to larger group gatherings and live events.

There’s a busy programme of events, including Sunday Socials (a family-friendly format with children’s activities, sports screenings and a kids-eat-free offer), Saturday Long Lunch (a two-hour free-flow format with in-venue entertainment), Woodfire Wednesdays (midweek sessions centred on the wood-fired kitchen) and Thirsty Thursdays (brewery tours and guided tastings led by Calder-Scholes).

The membership programme

Ahead of the opening, the venue has launched a pre-opening membership programme structured across three tiers: Founding Members, Friends of People People and Beer Drop. Founding Membership is capped at 100 places and includes exclusive events, pre-opening access, guided tastings with the head brewer and priority access to new releases. The two lower tiers offer annual beer allocations, complimentary pours and invitations to events and tastings.

Calder-Scholes explained, “Beer should feel inclusive and easy, but built on discipline and intent. At People People Brewing Co, it’s about creating something balanced and welcoming, something people can share and keep coming back to.”
