Los Angeles brand Go Greek Yogurt to launch first UK café in Mayfair

Go Greek Yogurt, a Mediterranean-inspired yoghurt café and lifestyle brand founded in Los Angeles, will open its first UK location on South Molton Street in Mayfair this July, marking the company’s debut in the British market as part of its wider international expansion.

The 620-square-foot venue will house a made-to-order yoghurt bar, self-service frozen yoghurt machines and both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior follows the company’s Mediterranean design aesthetic, which is consistent across its sites in the US and the Middle East.

The menu centres on imported Greek yoghurt, prepared according to traditional Greek recipes via an approach guided by the concept of meraki – meaning doing something with passion. The focus is on Mediterranean eating, with nutrient-dense and functional foods.

Go Greek Yogurt was founded in LA in 2012 by Tanja Murgel-Subotic, her husband David Subotic and their business partner Jonathan Williams. The concept was developed following Murgel-Subotic’s time living in Greece, with the aim of introducing elements of Greek food culture to the American market, including the use of natural ingredients and practising mindful eating. Since its launch, the brand has built a customer base that includes a number of high-profile figures. Public sightings and endorsements have come from Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Aniston and members of the Kardashian family, contributing to the company’s visibility.

Go Greek Yogurt currently operates more than 20 locations across the US and the Middle East, with plans to expand to 50 sites globally by 2027. Its most recent franchise opening took place in New York City in April, where the launch attracted long queues and significant social media attention. The team hopes the summer arrival in London will invite as much enthusiasm.
