Argentinian steak restaurant group Gaucho has partnered with Buenos Aires fireside restaurant Fogón to offer a Father’s Day experience at four of its UK branches this week. The £40 package will be served at Gaucho’s Hampstead, Tower Bridge, Cardiff and Edinburgh locations, and centres on a special dish accompanied by a limited-edition co-branded knife.

The collaboration draws on the two restaurants’ shared focus on Argentine asado, or barbecue, and fire-led cooking. As part of the experience, guests will receive a dish of Miso-Chipotle Marinated 300g Ribeye with sides, presented alongside a Gaucho x Fogón knife. The knives have been handcrafted in Argentina and specially engraved for the occasion, designed as a keepsake inspired by traditional asado tools. Only 80 have been produced, available exclusively at the four participating Gaucho restaurants for the occasion.

In the Palermo district of Buenos Aires, Fogón was founded in 2018 by Danielle Jenster and Alex Pels, together with chef Sebastián Cardamoni. It grew out of an earlier venture, The Argentine Experience, which Pels and Jenster established in 2011, and focuses on the asado, presenting the cooking process to diners in a close-up format. The restaurant has been recognised in the 2025 Michelin Guide and ranked 22nd in the 101 World’s Best Steak Restaurants list.

Meanwhile, Gaucho launched in London’s West End in 1994, taking its name and influences from the gaucho, or cowboy, and the wider culture of Latin America. The chain has since expanded to 20 locations across London and the UK, serving a menu that features steak, Malbec wines and dishes drawn from Argentine and broader Latin American traditions.

The featured Miso-Chipotle Ribeye is intended to reflect the grilling traditions associated with both brands, combining a smoky flavour with marbled beef. And the limited-edition knife makes the collaboration both a delicious dining adventure and a present – perfect for foodies on Father’s Day.
