Jack and Beyond opens new Battersea outpost with Power Station-inspired Afternoon Tea
Jack & Beyond, a London-based bakery founded by Fulop Gabor, has recently opened its new 3,000 sq ft flagship at Arch 64, Queens Circus, Battersea, lauhching a Power Station Afternoon Tea designed to reflect the area’s industrial heritage and to raise funds for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
The afternoon tea is served on handmade 3D-printed stands produced in limited numbers, and £1 from every booking will be donated to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, the local animal welfare charity.
The menu, created by Leah Romain, includes savoury canapés, freshly baked plain, Red Velvet and cheese scones, an Electric Lemon Tart, a Flower Fruit Custard Tart, Chocolate Chip Brick Brownie Fingers, and White Chocolate and Pistachio Blondie Fingers. Guests are also invited to take part in an interactive Cats & Dogs Cupcake decorating activity. Bottomless tea is provided by Novus Tea, with options including English Breakfast, Sapphire Earl Grey, Decaff Ceylon, Persian Pomegranate, Citrus Chamomile, Dragonwell Green and Egyptian Mint.
Jack & Beyond was established in 2019 and has built its reputation on handmade celebration cakes and bespoke cake design. The business has expanded from Fulham to Battersea High Street, and the new Queens Circus site marks its largest premises to date. The flagship features an open kitchen, allowing customers to watch staff baking and decorating cakes during their visit.
Commenting on the launch, founder Fulop Gabor said: “We have always wanted Jack & Beyond to be more than just better. We want it to feel genuinely different. The Power Station Afternoon Tea brings together craft baking, local inspiration and an experience that people will remember. Battersea means a lot to us as a business and as locals, so creating something especially for this new flagship felt like the right way to celebrate the next stage of Jack & Beyond.”
The bakery is located close to Battersea Power Station, which reopened to the public in 2022 following its redevelopment and has since become a focal point for new hospitality and retail openings in the area. Jack & Beyond’s tea concept draws directly on that local landmark, both in its name and its presentation.
